Spanish as a Foreign Language in Lodz’s secondary public

-Initiator and organizer of an International Exchange Visit program
between secondary schools students from Poland and Spain during

RESEARCH, LECTURES & PUBLICATIONS Texas Tech University,
Lubbock, Texas, Spring 2000: Presented a lecture on the “Carajicomedia”,
humorous poems from XVI Century Spain about the daily relationships
between men and
women.
Rice University, Spring 1999: Researched the misogynist satire
found in the “Songbook of Laugh-provoking Mocking Works”,
an anonymous book from 1519 Spain, and used it as the thesis for
my Master of Arts in a Spanish Literature.
First International Symposium of Eastern and Western Europe
and the Spanish-speaking World, University of Krakow, Poland, Fall
1996. Created a socio-linguistic survey and presented a lecture
on how spoken and written Spanish used in Soviet-bloc countries,
such as Cuba, had influenced the teaching and lexicon of Spanish
at universities in Poland.
University of Lodz, Poland,
Fall 1991: Founded and edited PUNKT, a newsletter for Spanish instructors
throughout Poland to help them share their concerns and experiences
with the teaching of Spanish. The newsletter was sponsored and
distributed by the Spanish Embassy.
Spring 1991: Published an article in the French Newsletter “Entrefilets” about
the teaching of Spanish in Lodz.
