Rice University, Houston, Texas.
Spanish lecturer, July 2006 – present
- Introductory and Intermediate classes of Spanish language and culture.
- Use of technological resources to teach and evaluate the progress of my students, such as e-mail exchanges, text-chats, Tell-Me-More language program and ExTemplate assessment program.
-Coordinator of the Spanish presentation for the International Education Week, Nov. 2006.
- Spanish instructor at the Baker Institute, present: Introductory classes for the Board members and staff to help them communicate with foreign visitors and personalities.
- Spanish graduate teaching assistant, 1997–1999
- Introduction to Spanish language and culture I.
- Coordinated an e-mail exchange for first-year students of Spanish at Rice Un. and the University of Australia.

University of Houston, Texas, Spring 2000
Spanish lecturer:
- Beginners class of Spanish language and culture.
- Use of multimedia resources such as movies, internet and newspapers to develop the Spanish language skills in the communicatively-based curriculum required by the U. of H.
- Required students to meet with native speakers in a “Spanish Table” group to practice their conversational skills.

University of Lodz, Lodz, Poland, 1990–1992
Spanish lecturer:

- Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced level classes of the Spanish language and culture.
- Collaborator of the Summer Courses of Spanish Language and Culture, which provided an immersion environment for second year level students of Spanish from all Polish universities.
- Co-founder of “Club Hispano”, an academic university club that promoted the language and Hispanic cultures where students collaborated in the planning of cultural events.
- Promoter of an educational program that created the study of Spanish as a Foreign Language in Lodz’s secondary public schools.
-Initiator and organizer of an International Exchange Visit program between secondary schools students from Poland and Spain during the 1992 World Fair in Seville.

Johnston Middle School, 2005-2006
- Spanish teacher for six classes in the 6th and 7th grades.
- Creator of a special Spanish class for students whose home language was Spanish to help them reach a higher academic level.

- Spanish teacher for all students in the Gifted and Talented program.
- Founder and coordinator of the Bolivia Project, a pen-pal exchange and charity program between the children of Herod Elementary and a low income Bolivian school.

- Spanish teacher for middle school grades.
- Founder and organizer of a Spanish Club.
- Planner of a pen-pal program between Colegio San Agustín de Sevilla, Spain and St. Mark’s L.S.

- Organized a pen-pal program between a School in England and Colegio San Agustín.

- Founder of an mail & visits language exchange program, between the 8th graders of the Warden Park School in Sussex, England, and the Colegio Alemán de Sevilla.

-Private classes of Spanish, 1986–2006: Spanish instructor for wide range of skill levels for groups and individuals in Spain, Poland, and the U.S.A.

RESEARCH, LECTURES & PUBLICATIONS

Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas, Spring 2000: Presented a lecture on the “Carajicomedia”, humorous poems from XVI Century Spain about the daily relationships between men and women.

Rice University, Spring 1999:
Researched the misogynist satire found in the “Songbook of Laugh-provoking Mocking Works”, an anonymous book from 1519 Spain, and used it as the thesis for my Master of Arts in a Spanish Literature.

First International Symposium of Eastern and Western Europe and the Spanish-speaking World, University of Krakow, Poland, Fall 1996. Created a socio-linguistic survey and presented a lecture on how spoken and written Spanish used in Soviet-bloc countries, such as Cuba, had influenced the teaching and lexicon of Spanish at universities in Poland.

University of Lodz, Poland,
Fall 1991
: Founded and edited PUNKT, a newsletter for Spanish instructors throughout Poland to help them share their concerns and experiences with the teaching of Spanish. The newsletter was sponsored and distributed by the Spanish Embassy.
Spring 1991: Published an article in the French Newsletter “Entrefilets” about the teaching of Spanish in Lodz.
