Students are not only encouraged to come to class
every day but also to show a positive attitude through an active class
participation. A good performance in class includes the quality of your
participation, attentiveness, preparedness, interest and timely completion
of all work. Simply showing up in class is not enough to earn a good grade.
There is a grade (out of 10) for active class participation that constitute
a 10% of the final grade.
All proposed
exercises and lesson materials must be prepared before coming to class.
There will be daily homework assignments from our textbook or supplementary
material, which must be completed also before class. Some homework will
be collected, and/or graded at the discretion of the instructor. Written
assignments must be professionally typed and submitted on time.
Spanish
will be the language used in class. Any grammar review is not included in
the syllabus of this course and it will be your own responsibility to show
a good command of the Spanish language in all the activities for the course.
If you consider that English is necessary for a specific question or comment,
make sure you come to talk to me after class or during my office hours.
