Scientific Spanish



 
 

COURSE OBJECTIVES 

        
         After taking this course, students, with the help of their instructor and a personal constant work, should be able to: 
 

  • obtain a fairly good command of the scientific vocabulary used in class. 
  • show a reasonable understanding of the special cultural differences between the United States, the Spanish-speaking world and Spain. 
  • have a practical knowledge of the Spanish-speaking scientific world and the ability to produce certain documents and presentations in this language. 
  • be able to use some basic features of technology that are essential in the 21st century scientific world such as PowerPoint, web page design and other online resources.
  • and increase in general all the different language skills in Spanish (reading, speaking, listening and writing) in order to succeed in a possible experience in a Spanish-speaking environment.
