This is a directed reading in which the advanced M.M. candidate prepares a paper on the musical reception of Ariadne in the early 18th century, and performs the secular cantata Arianna by Alessandro Scarlatti (Urbino, 1707) accompanied by harpsichord and strings for students enrolled in CLAS/MUSI 230 and HUMA 102.003.
