FREN 102

FREN 102 is the second course of the Elementary French sequence. It is designed to accommodate students who have completed FREN 101 or  who have taken the Language Placement Test . For additional information, contact Brigitte Crull (RH 218) or the office of the Center for the Study of Languages (RH 235).

Deux Mondes, Cahier d'exercices. Fifth edition (2005).
Office Hours Your instructor will announce her / his office hours, location, and telephone extension.
Tutoring University funds are available to provide tutors for students having difficulty in French 101 and 102. If you believe you need help during the semester, contact your instructor.
Grades

Important. You have 3 authorized absences. Starting with the 4th, each absence will decrease your grade by one increment. For example, an A and 4absences will result in a A-.

All quizzes, tests, exams and assignments are taken under the Honor Code.

Your grade in this course will be calculated in the following way:

  • 5 tests: 50%
  • Pop quizzes: 10%
  • 1 oral exam 10%
  • Compositions 10%
  • Workbook 10%
  • Tell Me More 10%

A+ 97-100 C+ 77-79
A 93-96 C 73-76
A- 90-92 C- 70-72
B+ 87-89 D+ 67-69
B 83-86 D 63-66
B- 80-82 D- 60-62
F Below 60
